Wrong name spelling in ITR 5 form

Hi,

I gave my form 16 copy for efiling to a reputed agency few days back. I received the copy of ITR 5 form today and saw that my name is spelt incorrectly. Also, my father’s name is not put correctly. I do not have any refunds to receive.

I would like to know:

1) Will there be any problem in future due to this error?

2) Any problems in future while applying loans, etc?

3) How can this be corrected?

    No issues at all as long as you have PAN mentioned correctly.Mostly your name in the IT records will changed into this “new name”.

      Update:

      Spoke to Income Tax CPC and they asked to do the efiling again and send the new ITR 5 acknowledgment form. Though last date has passed, this would not be an issue since this is a revised efile.
