ONHi,
Recently I filed an RTI to know the status of my IT Returns. Received a reply from the IT Officer stating that as I had filed my return of income Online, the returns will be processed by Centralized Processing Centre at Bangalore. He also stated that his office will have no jurisdiction over e-filed returns and asked me to contact the Centralized Processing Centre at Bangalore.
As per my knowledge, all individual return of income filing has to be made online. If this is the case and we input the Ward/Office etc details in the return form, why are we directed to Centralized Processing Centre, B’lore ?
Also can I file a RTI to Centralized Processing Centre , Bangalore as the time limits suggested in the Citizens Charter sent by IT Dept for e-filed returns is over ?

Kunal

Dear Kunal, relax. No update on your status in e-filing site, post ITR-V receipt, means your ITR has not been processed till date.
Thanks
Ashal
Dear Kunal, did you file online on your own or some one else did it for you? The reason i’m asking for is – status of your ITR’s processing is available in e-filing site and you can check it on your own.
thanks
Ashal
Hi Ashal,
I did file it myself at the incometaxindiaefiling and also checked the status , which is – “ITRV-received”. Hence I filed an RTI to my IT Officer.
Should I now file a RTI to CPC, Bangalore as the time limits suggested in the Citizens Charter sent by IT Dept for e-filed returns is over ?
Thanks
Kunal
