ONI couldn’t decide upon a suitable & reliable family floater health insurance policy. there are numerous reports and articles available on internet which confuse rather than help in taking a proper decision about selecting a health insurance policy. can any one help or share his experience in selecting an appropriate floater policy.

I would suggest you to opt for the family health insurance plan from Max Bupa, one of the best health insurance providers in India. They have plans which can safeguard you and family’s health and curtail your medical expenses at affordable premium rates. I myself have opted for the same plan from Max Bupa and believe me, the service is really good. Make sure, you get clear on your doubts and requirements before opting for the plan.
Sharing the link for you, http://www.maxbupa.com/
@ Arunda,
Do you know you have very low room rent limit in the star health policy..?
@Amit,
I have a Family Floater policy from Star Health insurance. The cover include me, my wife and our 15 months baby. For a 3 Lakhs cover, the premium is around Rs.4200/-

Arudra.
I recently opted for a Floater Insurance from National ( http://www.nationalinsuranceindia.com/nicWeb/nic/file_policy/4862.html ) tailered for Bajaj Capital investors..
I found this suitable as we wanted to cover my in-laws ( 63 and 60 ), myself/ my Husband/1 Year Kid. Premium worked out to be 22k for 8 Lakh…
PS: This is in addition to our company health insurance
Thank you for response.
Plz let me know why you opted for a PSU insurer instead of a private insurer.

@Amit
Even i had same sort of confusion few months ago. Unlike life insurance, one-size does not fits in health insurance space. So i went with online health insurance broker – medimanage.com because i wanted help not only in selecting the policy buy also in assistance in future claim if any. I went for oriental family floater as it suited my needs and the whole process was really smooth.
Before approaching them, it would be better if u have glance thru some article of jagoinvestor blog on health insurance (with comments):
