Dear Ashal, till now I am doing the only things are RD, FD, buying gold (physically) and investing in real estate. But I would like to earn more profit than RD interest. So that I would like to invest in Mutual funds. But I don’t have enough knowledge all about this. So please suggest me which MF s are best and how much should I invest to reach my goal early.
Dear Naveen, can you afford a situation that in the year 2024, you have only 35 or 40L Rs. in your hand? Why i’m saying so? The reason is simple, with each passing month and year, the available time for your investment to grow in Eq. ‘ll come down and within this less time, Eq. being a volatile asset class, may through nasty results. Here by Eq. I mean your investment in Eq. MFs.
Dear Naveen, @ 5L Rs. yly investment capacity, you can easily reach your target in next 10Y (actually even before) with a simple bank RD earning 9% interest to you. For simplicity of calculation, I’m not counting on tax on Rd interest.
Dear Ashal, My aim is to become a great businessman. For start to my own business I need minimum 50 L Rs. investment. Actually I need this amount as early as possible to beat the inflation but I cant invest more than 5 L Rs. per year. So that I fixed the time limit.
Dear Naveen, why do you want 50L Rs. in next 10Y? Is there any specific goal? If yes, what is it? If no, why are you interested with this time frame and figure? Please elaborate.
Now I am 27 years old bachelor. My parents are depending on me. I can choose 30% in safe investments and 70% in Equity Mutual funds. My target is Rs. 50,00,000 in 10 years. So the question is how much should I invest per month to reach my goal. And what would be the best plan to achieve it.

Dear Naveen if your cash flow permits, even a simple product like bank RD ‘ll create 50L Rs. for you in next 10Y.
