Can I open ppf account behalf of my mother ? She is house wife.

    1. There is no behalf here. You can only assist your mother to open HER account, you wont be putting your own details anyways

Dear Charu, from a new born baby (under her legal guardian) to a very Sr. citizen aged 80-90 or even 100Y are allowed to open PPF. Once the initial 15Y lock in period is over, one has the option to extend the account for a block of 5Y multiple times. So practically once the PPF account is open, it may run for next 60-75-80Y if one so desires.

    Thanks

    Ashal
