What are my options with delisted stocks?

What are my options for delisted stocks? I have Essar Steel with me since six years now and the stock is delisted. Annual dividend is also not significant.

What can I do so that the stock does not appear in my demat account? Whom and where to sell such stocks in Mumbai? Can I return the stock back to promoters?

    Thanks Manish. Can I convert the delisted Essar Steel shares to physical shares and eliminate them from my demat account? Is that possible?

    The sad truth is that now you will either have to wait for BUYBACK or if someone is ready to buy it from you .
