ONDear all,
I have salary account in HDFC bank Ltd since past few years. I have opened this account for my previous employer. For my current employer i am using same account.
Because of the frequent use of netbanking & debit cards i never did transaction with cheques for HDFC account so i forgot my signature i did in hurry at the time of opening the account. So now i unable to use cheques,i want to change my address but i cant due to this signature issue.
Also my debit card due date is coming in couple of years.I am in big worry.
I have visited nearer branch of HDFC bank but they told me that i couldn’t change signature unless i remember old signature? I have an option to open new salary account in different bank but for this i have to close my HDFC bank account & for closing this account i need to do my old signature on account closure form.
please suggest me what to do?

Change it by going to bank
Hi Nilesh,
Your Bank shall have all your details including your Photograph, address, PAN number etc. Please go to the branch and speak to the Bank Manager, explain your situation and since you can prove your identity using the documents you have matching with bank records.
There should not be any problem in this. And yes, basis your relationship with bank, they may show you the old signatures.

It happened with me as well. The Axes bank guys in B’lore were pretty nice though. They pulled out some documents and showed me the signature I’d used. Took them just 2-3 minutes.
they showed u your signature with them?
Yes, they did. You probably could try going to the HDFC bank on a weekday when there’s less crowd. No reason why they shouldn’t be able to help you out on this minor technicality.
