Happy New Year !!
I wish to know the list of companies which offer term plans to NRIs. I live in middle east. It would be great if someone can put up a quarterly list of top 3 plans covering various topics:
Top 3 MFs (for short & long term in equity markets)
Top 3 Retirement plans
Top 3 Term Plans
I know many may not like the idea, but it would be helpful for people who feel difficult to keep track of changes.

1] Yes, companies do offer Term Plan to NRIs.
For example: ‘HDFC Life’ offers Term Plan to NRIs.
2] Sorry, I did not get the meaning of your sentence “if someone can put up a quarterly list of top 3 plans covering various topics”
… pls clarify/elaborate.
3] Top 3 MFs for short & long term.
To give a right kind of recommendation, it would actually depend on details like your -Risk profile, -Existing exposure (asset allocation) & -Investment horizon.

4] Top 3 retirement plans.
Here you are asking Life Insurance plans under the product basket retirement plans. ‘Insurance plans are sub-optimal investment’. Plain and simple. There is wide ranging material available on the web which you can read to finds out why insurance is a strict no-no as investment. You may do well with Term Plan and Health Insurance alone.
