Dear Shyam, please restrict your choices to just 2-3 funds to reap the benefits of Mf investing over long period.
Thanks
Ashal
Dear shyam, do you want to invest for your future wealth creation or want to be a collector of funds? Only 2 or at best 3 funds are enough for you. which one to chose from your list, please decide on your own.
Thanks
Ashal
Hi Ashal,
I am looking to diversify my risk over the long term, hence choosing funds from different buckets.
Thank You,
Shyam
Hi Shyam,
As Sumit has said, quite a good mix of funds. However, I would like to touch upon a few points:
1. What is your debt component? If you have proper asset allocation, a balanced fund is not necessary for long term investing.
2. Make sure you understand the taxation status of pure international funds.
3. SIP in debt fund does not make much sense, as the average maturity of different SIPs will differ, thereby decreasing return. Invest lumpsum periodically in debt funds.
4. Do not, I repeat do not increase the no of your funds, however interesting the new fund may be.
Good job overall. Dont over assess. Go ahead & invest.
Tks,
Kuntal.
Hi Kuntal,
Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate your comments. I was wondering about the best way to invest in debt funds. I see you recommend a lumpsum allocation instead of SIP, i shall explore that option.
Thank you once more,
Shyam
Has a good mix of equity – large, large-mid, multicap, international and debt components,
I would just prefer IDFC premier Eq or SBI emerging business than HDFC midcap (though this is also an excellent fund) if I were you.
