ONHi I would like to pursue a career in financial planning. Want to know how to go about it and the courses/certifications to be completed. I have an MBA in finance but that was 15 years back.

Dear Divya, yes to become a financial adviser, planner, wealth manager or any other fancy name, one needs to register with SEBI as RFA – Registered Financial Adviser. Please check in detail for other aspects of this registration at SEBI site.
Thanks
Ashal
ashalanshu are there any rules around it? e.g to sell a mutual fund you need certification similar is the case for insurance, stocks etc…
so for someone to pitch as a financial planner are there are rules from some authority?
Dear Nitin, if you feel that adding a qualification ‘ll help you in your future life, opt it else start practise with out this certification.
Thanks
Ashal
