SBI eShield Term Insurance Plan – Change in Personal Details

Hi… This question may be silly, but please answer. I plan to buy SBI eShield policy online. Suppose if I have any change in the personal details I provided at the time of buying the policy, is it mandatory to update those details in the policy document afterwards? For example, my marital status was Single while buying the policy but later got married. Should I request to change the marital status in policy document?

    Dear Nis, no need to change such details but yes, post marriage, it’s ADVISABLE to change your nominee from parents to spouse to avoid any future dispute among your family members.
