‘A’ got a part of a house as inherited property due to an agreement between the heirs for the property under Hindu Succession Act , and got it registered in his name. whether can ‘A’ sell it for his exclusive benefits without consent of his (‘A’ ‘s) heirs during his life time?

thank you, Ashal . my understanding is also similar. but , my younger brother (having some legal education) expressed other opinion , and so , as you said, advocate’s advice is necessary.

  2. Dear Bharat, as per my understanding, if the legal heirs of A are adults (to decide their own course), the answer is A can not sell with out the consent of A’s heirs. This is my personal view only. Please check it with an Advocate.

    Thanks

    Ashal
