Recovery Agents asking Rs 2 lacs for LIC Housing Loan

My dad has taken a mortgage loan with tenure 0f 10 years in 2000 the loan was 2.25 lakhs , he has not paid EMI for a year in 2003  and he expired in 2003, after we have continued paying EMI regularly. The loan tenure has got completed when we approached for closure  LIC housing finance is still asking us to pay 2 lakh rupees.

whenever we approach LIC HFL they forward us to recovery department and they are asking us 2 pay the amount of 2 laks.. …. kindly advice us if any solutions are there?

    Dear Rizwan, what was the EMI amount originally & why did you not discuss the matter just after the death of your father? In all probability, it seems the penalty on all these bounced EMIs have turned into a big sum of 2L Rs.

    Without knowing the complete details, we can not offer any solution.
