Procedure to Cancel the Service Tax Registration Number after 3 yrs ?

Hi

I have taken the Service Tax registration to Start the Self Business Service in 2010, however I have never used that because since then I am in a Job. Now I want to Cancel that registration number. What is the procedure and charges involve in. And how do I go about this.

Please help me on this.
