premium increase for existing insurance policy due to service tax increase

Hi All,

Can  a insurance company increase the premium amount for an existing term insurance  plan, due to the increase in service tax from the government?

    Yes . The premium is inclusive of service tax and education cess as applicable. So if these change so will the premium
