Please help me to START my investments in Mutual Fund ? Whats the first step ?

Hi Guys,

My name is Ashish Pursani, I work for a software firm. I heard a lot about mutual fund SIP’s. I heard about it in your program Plan F or read it in Jagoinvestor & ET too. I just wanted to know how to start investing. Basically which are good mutual funds which we can consider today. I understand that we need to review our portfolio every year & remove under performing or non-performing MF’s from our portfolio. But my question is just this..how to start?
