Perquisites are taxable ? – Fuel bills and maintainence costs of 2 & 4 wheelers

Hi Team,

           Can you let me know if Perquisites are taxable i.e -” Fuel bills and maintainence”.

I just got my Form 16 and observe that the fuel expenses submitted to company are taxed?

What is the use of submitting the bills if the amount is being taxed?

Kindly priovide clarity.

    Dear Kunal, please dicuss the issue with your employer first to know the reason. How can we answer in isolation with out knowing all the details?
