I’m NRI, 32 yrs old & i would like to take a Term life insurance plan during my next visit to india in the month of september for 30 days. as i’ve searched all the insurance companies NRI’s are not allowed for online Term insurance. Can anybody please suggest a cheap & best TERM INSURANCE of coverage 1 crore (similar to Aegon Religare i-Term Plan)

Gentlemen,
I think we haven’t addressed his major problem – Term insurance for NRI.. I won’t go ahead with any insurance provider who would not give me clarity on above.
Roshan – did you try looking out for insurance providers in your respective country ? I have many such NRI clients and this is the biggest difficulty I face. You may be able to get a cheaper and competitive term plan in your country. Once you leave that country for India, then you can go ahead for a term plan in India.

As long as you have Address Proof, Income Proof and physically present for Medical test, you can get your Term insurance online easily.
Dear Roshan, instead of focusing on the cheapest product, your focus should be on the insurer that’s ready to cover you. Interestingly for Term plan to a NRI, not many insurer ‘ll come forward.
Still you may try your luck for offline plans of Aviva, Kotak, SBI, HDFC.

Hi Roshan,
You should go for either HDFC Click2Protect or ICICI Prudential iCare. Both are having very descent Claim Settlement Ratio (95.41%-HDFC & 94.61-ICICI) on comparatively lower annual premium charges. You can visit to below link to see comparison between term insurances.
