Just to update everyone how to get SBI PPF Account online. Post Office accounts cannot be made online. However you can transfer Post office accounts to SBI.

1) Visit the branch office where you have PPF account and ask for the form to make the PPF account online. Most of the branches have this facility but some of them may not support.

2) Once you submit the form you will be either given login/password immediately or mailed to you.

3) Branch office will provide the details of website and how to access the PPF account online.

4) You can also do transfer money to PPF account online if you have SBI Savings account.
