  1. Ramesh says:

What exactly do you mean by moderate-high risk? In my opinion, risk stratification is a meaningless term.

Anyways, if you want your money to grow in a reasonable amount, invest your money Lumpsum into an equity fund. I will recommend:

    1. Quantum Long term equity (good thing is it has a longer exit load period, which prevents you to just withdraw it) or
    2. DSPBR Equity (a very good fund, just put it there, and let the fund manager decide how to get good returns).
    3. Franklin Blue Chip fund / Prima Plus – very good funds.

Just remember, put all your money in one go (no need to put in liquid and then STP and all those hoops).

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Presently, my taxable income is nil. There is no such allocated goal for this money.I want to invest in equities or a mix.I can tolerate moderately high amount of risk.

    Thanks ashal in advance.

    1. Dear Rajshree, can you explain moderately high risk? I’m some what puzzled with your query. As rightly pointed out by dear Ramesh, It’s advisable to invest in a multi cap fund like Quantum Long Term Eq. or DSP Eq. if you indeed to remain invested for such long term.

      Thanks

      Ashal

  3. Dear Rajshree, without knowing much about you, answering this query ‘ll not be good for you. Please indicate your current tax slab, the possible future need of this cash linked with any goal, where do you want to invest in i.e. Eq. or Debt or mix of these, how much of the risk you can tolerate on this principal amount?

    Thanks

    Ashal
