Is Stamp Duty fully exempt from Income Tax ?

I have paid stamp duty for house registration in October 2013.  Is the same fully exempted from Income tax? Is there any specifications as Limited to certain amount or is it only for one house?

    Dear Jyothi, the stamp duty paid by you is eligible for tax benefit under section 80C. So it ‘ll be considered as your saving within the over all limit of 1L Rs. for the given FY.
