Investment for minor nephew

I want to start monthly investment in the name of my 3 year old nephew. I read somewhere this can be done only by parents or guardian. So in this case how can I achieve my purpose ?

    I am saving for my nieces education. The account is in my name with her as nominee. This along with a will ensures the money goes to her whether I outlive the investment or not.
