Insurance Premium Payment by Any one member of Family Floater Policy

I have been paying the premium for a family floater mediclaim policy from oriental insurance till last year. Can i change this situation by asking my wife ( member of family floater policy) to pay the premium and get the receipt in her name so that she can claim tax benefit?

    Dear CPDhutmal, Yes is the answer. Please ask your insurer to do the needful. Alternatively your wife may purchase another policy herself as proposer covering all family members.
