Whatever you invest in the ELSS, will be locked for 3 years from the date of investment. After that, when you want to withdraw depends upon you – you can withdraw after 3 years or after 10 years. So, take the benefit of equity through ELSS.
It is still not very clear, whether ELSS will be there or not. Till date, they are not a part of the DTC. But you never know about revisions. 😉
Ramesh is right.Take full advantage of ELSS and save tax.Dont worry about DTC.After 3yrs it will be treated as open ended equity mf.
