Dear Rajarshi, whenever you apply for a credit line (be it for Credit card, home loan, car loan, personal loan or any other loan), it’s marked in your CIBIL report. Too many & frequent request for new credit lines indicates that you are credit hungry & it impacts your credit score.
So instead of applying for a new credit card & for the fear of getting rekected, you may start using a FD linked xcard for a start. later on you can switch to a regular card from the same bank. In fact based upon your credit history, the bank ‘ll offer it to you on it’s own.
i still don’t get it. i am interested in standard chartered’s titanium credit card and presently hold a gold credit card ( not from stanchart ). now, if i go to stanchart and ask verbal questions, will it be traced and reported to cibil?
It goes to CIBIL only when you fill up the form and formally apply for it . Just a verbal communication will not effect anything .
Also dont be fearful on this, as things going in CIBIL does not mean anything . Only when you do something wrong or which is not justifiable should be feared !
Dear Rajarshi, medrely lip talk with your banker ‘ll not be reported into your CIBIL.
Thanks
Ashal
