I have observed a drastic difference between the health insurance premium for the private and public companies. What could be the reasons?
I am looking for a policy for my senior citizen father who has no pre-existing illness. I was looking at the Nagrik Suraksha policy by Oriental but Medimanage suggested the Religare Care plan. However, the Oriental’s premium for a 5 lakh cover is much less than that for
2 lakh cover by Religare, even less than the service tax!
I am aware that one should not consider a policy just because it’s cheaper and every company has its own calculations. However, this huge difference baffles me. Any comments? Am I missing anything?
