Difference between Equity Home Loan and Mortgage (home) Loan

I hope many must not be know about “Equity Home Loan”. We all are used to basic “Home Loan” or “Housing Loan”.
So what is this Equity Home Loan concept?

  • Can an Individual get a Equity Home Loan at his/her 1st Home Loan?
  • How does a Equity Home Loan and Mortgage Home Loan differ?
  • Is is advisable for salaried individuals to go for Mortgage home loan or Equity home loan?
