ONDear Sir,
I am currently an educational loan of Rs 200000 from Dena Bank Noida Branch in 2008. The repayment started in 2012.The EMI is Rs 9200.I am paying this amount for the last 18 months. I am finding it extremely difficult to manage this amount.I requested my bank to reduce EMI to RS 4500 . I also asked them that i will increase the EMI Amount once I am able to make enough salary. But the bank is not helping and saying they cannot reduce the emi. The loan prospect showed that laon repayment period is upto 10 years. it has been only three years since my repayment started.
Please help me and suggest me what can i do.
Following is my conversation with the bank.

Sir,I had taken an education loan of Rs 200000 in the year 2007 from Dena Bank Noida Branch. I regret
to tell you that I am not capable anymore of continuing my minimum monthly payment because of the
problem I`m facing right now. I am not able to make enough money to pay Rs 9100 per month as EMI. I
want to continue my payment and be responsible in managing my finances. I tried my best and check
my budget but it`s still impossible and the only way I can think of is to change my monthly payment into
a lesser amount. I`m requesting for a reduced monthly installment payment until I can recover from my
current situation. Instead of paying Rs 9100 , I wish to reduce it to Rs 5000 or less. I will resume with my
regular payment once everything will be okay. I hope you can understand my situation and grant my
request.
Sir, Please reply if this is possible as I have no other option.
Please help me I need your help. Please look at it sir.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Manish Sharma

Sir, I went to the branch manager
DENA BANK B – 9, SECTOR 18 GAUTAM BUDH NAGAR NOIDA NOIDA,
UTTAR PRADESH,
PINCODE: 201301
IFSC: BKDN0721125
but he straightaway refused to help and said the emi cannot be reduced.
Sir, As per my knowledge and research, the EMI could be repaid in ten
years, so lower EMI is possible.Clearly he is violating the rules .
It is not possible for me to pay . Please reply I have no other option.
Please help me, Sir I need your help.
I also contacted the Dena Bank Retail Banking Department, HO, Mumbai.
Below is my conversation with them
