POSTED BY nitin.bourai ON January 7, 2014 4:39 pm COMMENTS (3)

I have an Account with Sharekhan and not using it from more than 2 years.

I have tried many times to close the account as i have mailed them and informed them that i no longer require this account, but they are keep on asking for the DP dues. what are the consequences of not closing the DP with share-khan?

Dear Nitin, it seems you have not paid the annual charges for your demat account, you need to pay it up first before getting your account closed.

    Thanks

email or phone call will not initiate a closure of account. you may like to walk into nearby service point and fill up the closure form. You need to return back the unused TI slips along with the closure form. Keep the acknowledgement copy for your reference. within 7 working days your account would be closed (if you do not hold any demat balance). within 15 days you’d receive a letter from Sharekhan confirming the closure
