Is decreasing Solvency Ratio a concern ?

While looking at the IRDA annual report-statement 10 in the report, I found that the solvency ratio of some of the insurers are decreasing….for eg. Icici lombard, hdfc standard etc. Is this a cause of worry?

Since IRDA mandates a minimum solvency ratio can this be ignored ?

    Yes , I think its not a big concern as far as solvency ratio is above the minimum ! .. Its ok !
