Death Claims in PF?

Dear All,

 

In my company one of our employee has committed suicide due to his personal problems. His basic salary was Rs.6,500/-pm. In our company there is no Group insurance policy. Can he eligible for EDLI scheme under PF? If yes How to proceed about it? Can he get Rs.60,000/- amount to his nominees?

    Yes the claim has to be made to the PF office
