CIBIL score will it be affected because of Banks’ Mistake

Hi,

I have a primary credit card along with a supplementary credit card in my family member’s name.Recently I spent some money with both primary (X)and supplementary(Y) cards and paid in full(X+Y) for both the cards against Primary credit card.I asked the bank guys to transfer the amount (Y)from Primary to supplementary card and they made a mess of it transferring twice then reverting back partially.

In the next month’s bill it showed unpaid amount against primary card (they charged interest and service tax too on this unpaid card) and lot of credit against Secondary card paid in advance :).When i called them, they put my call on hold for 10 minutes and then said they r reverting back the charges as it was bank’s mistake.I want to know if my credit rating gets affected because of this as it’s already updated in CIBIL.

Regards,

Andy

Dear Anindya, please check your Credit report after 45 days from now onwards and if the mistake is not rectified, please file a protest with CIBIL and on your behalf, CIBIl ‘ll ask the bank to rectify the mistake if any.

    Thanks

Dear Anindya, as it’s bank’s mistake, let it rectify in CIBIL too.

      Hi Ashal,
Do I need to take any specific steps to get it rectified by them or I can expect they will do it on their own?
      Regards,
      Anindya
