child future plan

Hi,
I am planning to invest for my new born child’s plan. I got below insurance plans (LIC) from my relative : Jeevan ankur, komal jeevan, child career plan, child future plan, jeevan sukanya, jeevan kishore.
I would like to know which one would be best one. Also are there any other options to invest for my childs future apart from insurance linked policies?

    Dear Kiran. all the plans mentioned by you are a sure shot way to drain your money. Please insurer yourself adequately if not done already though Term Plan.

    Regarding investment needs, please invest in a mix of PPF & MFs.

    Hi Kiran,

    You can invest in HDFC Prudunce for higher studies ( after SSC). For primary education, you can invest in short term Debt Mutual Funds or RD in Bank.
