Can we redeem Physical gold for the purchased GOLD ETF?

Hello Everyone,

If I invest in GOLD ETF and leave it for a long term, can I redeem Physical gold from the respective AMC’s?

    As far as i know none of the AMC with gold ETF offers that advantage to convert to physical gold. Long back i read an article that quantum mutual fund tried to bring this plan, but due to some technical constraints with jewellers the plan was not materialized.
