POSTED BY ASOK BHATTACHARYYA ON February 17, 2014 10:54 am COMMENTS (3)

I WAS EMPLOYED IN A MNC AT THEIR BANGALORE OFFICE TILL JUNE 2007  AND A  MEMBER OF LIC SUPERANNUATION FUND – COMPANY USED TO CONTRIBUTE 15% OF MY BASIC SALARY. AS ON THE LAST REPORT SENT TO ME DATED 31/03/2006 – THE AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT IS AROUND RS.3,00,000. I WAS TERMINATED  BY THE COMPANY IN JUNE 2007 BUT COMPANY DID NOT PROCESS MY PAPER TO LIC FOR MY SUPERANNUATION MONEY THOUGH REQUESTED SEVERAL TIMES.LIC IS ALSO DENYING TO PAY UNTIL MY COMPANY PROCESS THE PAPERS TO THEM.IS THERE ANY WAY OUT TO GET THIS MONEY?

PLEASE HELP.

Dear Asok, you have to file the case in labour court against your employer. You may send a legal notice before filing a case. Now it’s a legal matter so better to discuss it with an advocate in your area. By the way, what was the reason of your termination? Is there any clause in your employment that in case of some misdeeds by you, the retirement benefits can be forfeited.

    Thanks
