Could someone please tell me what documents/points to check  at different stages of buying process from the builders?

For example:

What questions should I ask and what documents should I check

1) while visiting the site first time?

2) While booking the flat?

3) Registration process?

etc

I am very first time home buyer and you answers and suggestions  will be really helpful for me to get the clarity and avoid unnecessary issues.
