Best demat account other than kotak securities ?

Currently I have account with kotak securities but i m no longer in that city and their service is painful so i don’t want to buy and big amount shares in them somehow i have this nagging feeling they may wind up and disappear.

so coming to the point- any suggestions on the best option for opening a demat account ?

    I used to have demat account with Kotak but their charges were exorbitant. So, I switched to IL&FS demat account. No complaints so far. Receive holding statements via email every month.
