ONHello, I bought a HDFC Life UL YoungStar Champion (ULIP Policy) andd till date (2009 – 2013), I have paid Rs 2.5 lakhs (yearly premium of Rs 50,000) and the policy is in paid up state.
The current Fund Value is Rs 2.22 lakhs. I am not paying any further premiums but should i wait for some more time to withdraw/surrender my policy or do i take out a lumpsum now and wait for the markets to get better. Thanks for your advise.

Dear Sameer, please pull out from this ULIP and invest in normal Eq. MFs.
thanks

Dear Mr Ashal,
Thanks for your advise. Yes in order to recover my losses i should invest in equities only but do you think it would be better if pull out the money now from HDFC Life and invest in equities since i think the HDFC Life Fund Managers just follow the sensex benckmark rather than beating the same.
Or should i wait for a few more months in case the markets get better so that my fund value reaches 2.5 lakhs. Thanks.
Dear Sameer, the money was originally invested in Eq. so it should go into Eq. alone to recover the past losses and to provuide fresh returns. In case uyou are not at al comfortable with the Idea of Eq. then please invest in Tax free bonds only. In PPF you can not inveast more than 1L Rs. in a financial year in an account.
thanks
Ashal
Hello..Well i was thinking of investing in PPF/the upcoming Tax Free Bonds.
Dear Sameer, where w’d you invest after withdrawing from ULIP?
thanks
