starting SIP for 15 years in following funds, review and advice

ICICI pru focused bluechip -G  3000

UTI opportunities -G              3000

hdfc balanced                       2000

reliance pharma                    2000

hdfc midcap opprtunities         2000

icici pru discovery                  2000

    Dear Ramana, When did you start investing in these funds, 1 month ago or 3 months ago or 6 months ago? How did you selected these funds?

    Please share the basis of your selection.

    While we wait for experts review, my humble thought.

    Most of your funds are exactly in my SIP (I invest 5k every month in ICICI pru focused bluechip, UTI opportunities, HDFC balanced, ICICI pru discovery) – thats why I am tempted to reply.

    Try to reduce overlapping funds. Why do you need 2 funds in Midcap (HDC Midcap and ICICI Discovery)?

    Do you need the Pharma fund in your portfolio? I think its better to stay away from thematic funds.
