2 questions on personal accident policy from Star Health

I have a personal accident policy from Star Health (SA – 50 lacs).

1. I wanted to check if the premium is covered under 80D?

2. The policy is up for renewal soon. My new premium will be in the range of 7000. Can you pls advice if any better plan I should look for (considering premium & settlement ratio)?

    Dear Amit, if you feel that Star may not honor the claim, please check with Star first for your fear. Then only decide to change on the basis of feedback.

    Dear Amit, prem. paid for accident policy is not eligible for 80D benefit. Why do you want to change your policy?
