I received an email from intimations@cpc.gov.in regarding refund non issuance due to wrong postal address.
It is mentioned as below:
“In case you are making an online request for refund re-issue by cheque, the below information is required to
avail the service at the e-filing website:
i. CPC Reference No. – This is the Communication Reference No. available on the first page of Intimation u/s
143(1) / Rectification Order u/s 154.
ii. Refund Sequence No. – This number is available in the first page or in the table Refund Particulars above
the Notes, in the above mentioned orders.”
Please clarify where to find the Refund Sequence number. I could not find it at all. I sent a mail to ask@incometaxindia.gov.in but no reply. I tried calling the Bangalore office (o80 number) and toll free number (1800). Both did not get connected.
I am stuck because of not being able to find a damn refund sequence number
