I have a ”SBI salary account” with ”sweep facility” enabled. I want to make it a ”joint account” with my wife as ”second account holder” {She is a housewife and has zero income).I want to know the following-
1. Interest on the sweep portion attracts income tax and I need to pay the same as per my salary slab. If my wife becomes second account holder, tax payable will remain the same and it will have to be deposited by me only,right (i.e. no changes/complexity regarding the tax)?
2. Will second account holder get a separate atm card, checkbook and internet banking account?
