Short Term Capital Gain Tax

This year I have redeemed many funds and reduced no of funds from 30 to 12. In one of the posting I read that I have to pay the STCG tax. No problem in paying Tax.

Will the AMC or service center (like CAMS) send me a report on STCG. Or do I have to break my head and calculate STCG for individual funds?

    If it is a joint account, hope we can split the STCG 50-50. Isnt it?

    AMC or CAMS will not help you in these calculations. I suggest you to make your portfolio on moneycontrol giving all details like date of purchase, amount, date of selling etc. You can get STCG statement on screen in few minutes.
