ONHi,
I am a 24 years young professional and earn around 25000-30000 p.m. I want to start some investment but have no idea of how to go ahead with it. I am more focussed on getting good returns for the next 4-8 years and can invest around 15000-18000 p.m. now on an average. Please suggest me the best possible options.

Excellent response Ashal !
Just to add on – there are not many investment options – broadly they are 4 –
1. Land – Property, Flat, Plots, etc – very expensive, but provide best returns
2. Fixed Income – FDs, PPFs, PFs, NCDs, MIS, NSCs, etc – fixed returns – but the returns will not increase more than the interest rate
3. Gold – well known by all
4. Equities – shares of companies (indirect ownership of businesses).
All options available in the market are combination of one or more of above asset classes. Choose the one which matches your investment horizon & risk profile.

Dear Kamal, Can you quantify, what’s the so called good return for you? Is it 6 or 7 or 8 or 10 or 25 or 50 or 100 or 500% for the time frame given by you?
Please spend some time to read some past discussions. These past discussion ‘ll not only clear your though process but ‘ll also help you to learn few good things on how to manage your own money.
Thanks
Ashal
