ONIn recent times, one of my close friends happened to face occupational health hazards added by sports injury. It’s called cervical disc prolapse – and in layman term its spondylosis. But eventually what had happened, he experienced lot of physiotherapy sessions. He was not hospitalized – and hence Health Insurance company denied his claims. There was a limit of medicals from the employee – and again restricted.
Essentially, he ended up spending quite a few bucks from that injury, which certainly put pressure in his wallet. When we are discussing the above, I certainly feel that one fine day – anyone of us can get such kind of treatment. And rather, spondylysis is very common now-a-days because of work-life stress.
How do we handle such medical expenses? Health Insurance, Life Insurance , Riders – none cover that? Continuous physiotheraphy for few months actually can put pressure as those are unpredictable expense .
