What should I do my SIP’s after I have come to UK ?

I am in UK from last 1 month and can be here for next 1.5 to 2 yrs. My salary comes in Pounds. I have 10000 Rs SIP in MF since April 2013. Now what are the possibilities for those SIPs. Do I have to stop/redeem/continue them?

Someone told me that once you are entitled to get NRI status you are NOT eligible to transact through the bank accounts that were opened as a Resident Indian status. You may need to link your SIPs to an NRE or an NRO account after you become an NRI.

If you are in UK, obviously your salary will be in GBP 🙂 , but can’t understand what it has to do with your SIPs. You have gone to UK, USA or somewhere else for your assignments, but your SIPs will continue for the tenure you have mentioned while registering/starting the SIP, just take care that your linked bank account has enough balances on the SIP dates.

    Thanks
