Whether to switch to direct schemes – if it means exit loads on current ones?

Have 2 SIP mutual funds currently (opened through brokers)- SIPs are all paid up. I was considering to move it to direct option – given that I can clearly see the NAV growth difference. When I initiated the transfer, I was made aware that there will be an exit load of 3%-5% if I exit now (since it is a pension plan). So, unsure whether switching would be the right thing to do anyway, irrespective of the exit loads.
