SEBI'S NEW NOTIFICATION FOR M.F.

As i unerstood from VRO website:’ Starting January 1, all funds shall have a direct plan which will be meant for investors who don’t go through a distributor or other intermediary. This plan will have a lower expense ratio excluding distribution expenses and commissions. It will have a separate NAV. In all existing funds, fresh investments will be accepted only in one normal plan and one direct plan.’

that means your already invested money in any mf scheme even direct would not get benefit of lower expense ratio for opting direct plan of the fund. for getting benefit of direct plan for future yrs. ,one needs to sell the old units and buy new units.

is my above observation correct?
