I am 30 year old male working in software industry in delhi. Am married for a year.
My wife is 27 and we are due a baby in October.
At present I have a health insurance provided by my employer which covers the family for 4 lac.
I also have a term insurance from Aviva for 1 cr.
I have no medical history except for once I was admitted in hospital in 2010, for backpain.
No surgery was performed. Only bed rest and lumbar traction for 4 days.
My wife also does not have any medical history.
My father, 56, has high BP (takes medicines). My mom, 51, has diabetes (no medicines reqd.) and thyroid (recentlt has started taking a tablet a day).
I have neither (confirmed from tests taken by Aviva for term insurance).
Please suggest a family floater health insurance. Will that automaticaly include my child once born. Or should I wait for the delivery and then look out for a policy.
Also how long does the whole process of getting the health insurance take. I am asking this because I could be going to US at the end of the month for 2 months.
And are any medical tests required for healtrh insurance.
