MF Portfolio for my mother

Hi, My mom is retired and looking for ways to invest her monthly pensions after monthly expenses.. she would have a disposable income of Rs.10,000 every month. Apart from that she has about 8 lacs currently in various MFs as SIPs and one-time investment.

Her requirement would be some part that should be immediately liquidated, some part can be for 2-3 years and same can be for >5 yrs… need your expert advise on revamping her portfolio so that she’s able to invest in a disciplined manner with less funds to manage.. currently her portfolio is swamped with too many funds and needs to be cleared. Any advise will be much appreciated..

And whenever there is a savings of lump sum amount (50K to 1 lac) she’s always confused as to where to park her funds… any suggestion for this scenario?

The current breakdown is as below

Gold funds – 3.75lacs (Reliance & BSL – one of them is SIP of 2k each month)

Balanced funds – 1 lac (HDFC Prudence fund)

Equity funds – 2.75 lacs (HDFC Top 200 (SIP), HDFC Top 200, ICICI Focussed Bluechip, Franklin India High Growth (SIP), Franklin India High growth)

Debt Fund – 50K ( Tata dual advantage – Scheme A, Plan A)

Subbu
